The 11th studio album by The Beatles. It was released in September 1969, and although it received mixed reviews it was an immediate success, with the first single ‘Something / Come Together ‘charting at #1 in the USA. The track ‘The End’ turned out to be the last time all four band members recorded together. John Lennon privately left the band just before the album’s release, and Sir Paul McCartney announced the band’s split in April the next year. The album also features one of the most famous covers in pop history.
