Different Class is Pulp’s fifth album, which was an immediate success. It was released in October 1995 on Island Records, and went straight to #1 in the UK albums chart. All four singles from the album made the top 10, and the album won the 1996 Mercury Music Prize. The album is seen a leading release from the Britpop phenomenon and is ranked at #6 in the NME’s ‘500 Greatest Albums of all Time’
